This weeks episode of the league was written by Nick Kroll and Paul Scheer (Ruxin and Andre). So it was no surprise to see these two take center stage. They are my 2 favorite characters on the show so I did not have a problem with that. The idea here was that Ruxin was defending a break pad company that was being sued by someone in an accident. The catch was the break pad company already paid for her plastic surgery and now she was suing for emotional hardship. Ruxin is very confident because the judge in the case has a thing for him. He calls her his “work flirt” As a plastic surgeon, Ruxin wants to use Andre as an expert witness. Meanwhile, Taco begins dating a court room sketch artist. The sketch artist is played by none other then Alia Shawkat. You may know her better as Maybe Bluth. Excuse me for a moment while I cry about Arrested Development not being on the air any more. The purpose of Pete in this episode is to hilariously one up Andre on basically everything he does. He suggests better restaurants, he tops Andre’s stories, and is even better at being a witness then him. Kevin is accused by the rest of the league of colluding with his wife in order to pick up Mike Bell. I always find it funny when they base something on a player who is actually completely inconsequential in Fantasy Football. Andre predictably completely fails at being an expert witness. Ruxin uses the opportunity to get Pete on the stand and forces him to admit that Kevin did in fact collude with Jenny. Taco finds out that his girlfriend is married and her husband finds the naked sketches that Taco gave her.
